If it was on private property, then go right ahead but she had every right to be there if it's on public property.

@Sarah, our world is real bad right now. Neither McCain nor Obama have the American public anywhere close to the top of their priorities. They are rich elitist politicians who are working for the benefit of their major donors, not the public. Vote for a 3rd party if you're trying to vote for someone who is closer to and cares more about the average American.

Re: We Know McCain=Bush, So What’s the Problem?

That really very poor behavior. She didn't do anything. She just had her sign up. It goes to show how the police protects the public. Hope she got out of custody that day.

Re: We Know McCain=Bush, So What’s the Problem?

I believe the comments on this article are slightly one sided. Though I do agree whole heartdly that this woman did nothing wrong, and though this may sound naive, I believe that anyone as dedicated to becoming President as John McCain or Barack Obama have the good of the American public at the top of their priorites. And if this isn't true, then our world is far worse than I have hoped.

Re: We Know McCain=Bush, So What’s the Problem?

I can't believe this.. The PATRIOT Act effectively did away with our 4th amendment freedom from illegal search and seizure with this new "Sneak and Peek" initiative. Did you know it now allows law enforcement officials to come into your home without you present and search your things without your knowledge and/or consent? So long as they don't take anything, they are not required to notify you (the dweller or homeowner) for up to 30 days AFTER THE FACT (and longer if the courts give permission). That's pretty messed up! Thanks for that Bush! Neither McCain nor Obama are discussing repealing this invasive, unconstitutional Act.

Now we have the H.R. 6304: FISA Amendments Act of 2008, which threatens to further undermine the 4th amendment by providing immunity to telecom companies, allowing for unlawful surveillance of the people. You and others can read the bill (which has since passed the House) in its entirety at: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bi...
