Menstrual Poetry: This is What McCain/Palin Supporters Look (and Act) Like

  • FearandParentinginLasVegas · 1 year ago
Well said, my friend. People like this scare me. Regardless of your side, please everyone, vote responsibly and bring a friend, The biggest travesty in November will not be who won, but who did not participate.

    that was pretty lame actually

This video is an example of a smear. Rather than address any specific Republican policy, it attempts to portray this party's followers as ignorant and obnoxious. Therefore, it appeals to the viewer's emotions rather than to his/her reason. Unfortunately, both sides use this tactic. I'd rather see political parties and their supporters stick to the issues rather than resorting to name calling.

Oh God great video, i couldn't belive my eyes.
  • stuperb · 1 year ago
I was almost too embarrassed for these people to finish watching the video, but I pushed through just to re-energize myself for the next few weeks.

This type of willful ignorance almost seems like a badge of honor. I'd suspect that if I pointed out to them that this is part of why the rest of the world loathes America right now, they'd respond with "GOOD! We don't care what those people over there believe anyway! U-S-A! U-S-A!"

That's a stupid question he was asking about how long have you heard of either Sarah Palin or Barrack Obama. What does that matter? People vote because of their personal beliefs and although I've only heard of Sarah Palin since she was nominated for the Vice Presidency and had known about BO over the last few years through the news, I still support Palin because her beliefs line up with mine. Knowing about someone a longer amount of time does not influence my decision on who I"m going to support...their belief system does.
  • Alyssa · 1 year ago
He is asking because a great number of Palin supporters are voting for the McCain/Palin ticket but don't actually know where Palin/McCain stand on their issues. They're just blindly following their party rather than doing any research on the issues they stand for/against. Seemed pretty obvious to me.

Honestly, this election scares me. McCain has mocked women's rights by picking a running mate solely on the merit of her chromosomes. This effectively spits in the face of women voters as it mocks the fact that strong female candidates exist.

Obama vs. Clinton was a battle (well fought by both) of merit. It was not about race or sex, but who was more qualified. A measure of equality that two opponents are compared not by social category but by their qualifications.

McCain has missed this entirely and sits cackling maniacally as his view of how stupid the american population truly is, shows itself to be scarily accurate. Selecting a woman because he believes we just want to see a woman with power.

What we want is someone who will correct the mistakes of the past. Male or female. Black or white.

What has become of this country?

Oh, jeez. You get people with crazy theories on both sides of the aisle, and you can't just look at them and say those supporters represent ALL supporters for a certain campaign. I have a lot to criticize about McCain and Palin, but I'm still voting for them. Many people have something to criticize about Obama and Biden and are still voting for them. That's the way it usually works. These sorts of people are at the fringe.
  • stuperb · 1 year ago
I hope you're right, Jillian. I've cautioned against thinking that racism will be Obama's undoing - and I think the vast majority of Americans aren't like this - but the noises from the recent McCain-Palin rally crowds have shaken me a bit, from the "Kill Him!" shouts to the type of willful ignorance we see in this video.

I think if you're conservative there are probably plenty of policy reasons not to vote for Obama, and I hope if he loses that the issues are why - just as I hope that McCain would lose on the issues as well.

But I do have to wonder whether the anger we've seen in these videos is an indication with how upset Republicans are by the polls right now. If that's true, then we're seeing panic reactions, and they're ugly and frightening.

    ugh.

They're all sheep. I can't believe how stupid they are.
  • Julie · 1 year ago
I plan on voting for Obama because I believe his policies are more progressive, but honestly when I talk to other Obama supporters they don't seem much more informed than some of these people. I'm just playing devil's advocate here.
  • Julie · 1 year ago
For example, if I ask other Obama supporters why they like Obama, they will sometimes say something about him standing for change. But they haven't looked over his voting record, or read his wikipedia page on his political positions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_position...). That, if you think about it, is really just regurgitating a tag line; it's not being informed.

Anyway, it does seem like McCain supporters have a greater tendency to be hilariously stupid. I've never seen a video with hilariously stupid liberals, so maybe that in and of itself means something.

All I know is that the last few decades with Republicans in the office have been horrible, we haven't had a good Republican since Abraham Lincoln. I don't know how anyone could of voted for Bush, it's really a sad thing!
  • Margaret · 1 year ago
"who are spouting McCain and Palin’s regurgitated bullshit makes me sick..." Your BS also makes the other side sick. Your $h!t stinks along with everybody elses.
  • something_rational · 1 year ago
I think it's really sad that people are still ignorant enough to accuse someone of being a terrorist based on their heritage and/or their name. I know my parents got their panties all in a twist when the found out Obama's middle name is Hussein. How petty do you have to be to make an issue out of someone's name? That's like judging someone based on the color of their skin. OH WAIT! What was I thinking?

Welcome to America: where we judge you based on superficial aspects you have no control over.

Why does this not suprise me? Got nothing more to say except..

They want to rape and pillage America, and they want to do it "behind the scenes".
  • suresh · 1 year ago

It makes me frightened to be alive.
People like THAT are living here with me.
  • Readers Pick · 1 year ago
Totally ignorant. Haven't they heard of Wikipedia. Guys, try googling Wikipedia and you'll see Obama's FULL credentials. He's KENYAN, people. As what he mentioned jokingly in a conference / party, giving him HUSSEIN as a middle name was a stupid move.

I just can't help but smirk with that girl who is proud of her candidates. You are right. They are proud of their ignorance. Disgusting.

Seriously, if I was on the fence before, the blond that keeps popping up in every 5th frame just solidified my vote for Obama. And what's up with the ...refuse his questions unless he gives them to you in writing? Is that meant to change her attitude or opinion?

I'm an european and living in New York City for 1 month and everyday i am having at least one funny story about the elections on the road or in the subway. And i can not understand why ordinary people are shouting in the streets about obama or mccain. are they the releatives of the competitors or when they shout on the street are they changing others' decision?

we don't see these kind of fanatic supporters in europe.

This is a bunch of "crap" get your facts straight.. Obama has not even provided a birth certificate yet... he is friends with known terrorists.... he has Muslim background...his family is associated with the jihad...anyone can say anything and make themselves look good for appearances...get your facts straight/not from the liberal media.....it is a very very sad day when America wants to elect a man who only wants to gain control of our country to destroy it so that there is no one in the way of the Muslims raging war against Isreal!!!!!!!!!!!! Please think and research these topics further before saying that conservatives are closed minded.....If you don't then who is really closed minded??? I have tons of verified documents on Obama and he is not what you think.........

I couldn't help laughing the whole time especially when that McCain supporter kept jumping into the camera view. It seems people hear things here and there and do no research of their own whatsoever and make conclusions about people. I have no doubt that most of Americans vote on impressions not on facts, which is kind of scarry.

Let us not do what the supporters of McCain and Palin are doing. Let us all be responsible with our words and actions. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, we all need to vote wisely.

Every campaign has its share of hard-ball political tactics, but nothing is more discomforting than a smear campaign. The deeply personal, usually anonymous allegations that make up a smear campaign are aimed at a candidate's most precious asset, his reputation. The reason this blackest of the dark arts is likely to continue is simple: It often works and gives these idiots a sense of purpose.

Lets hope that non of the people in this video or the others I have seen, get elected.
  • seo · 1 year ago
It seems sanity has prevailed. I'd love to see the look on these idiots faces now that there candidate has lost. Seems Obama had a pretty strong lead of 53%. Not surprisingly most of his votes came from the younger generation and nearly all African-Americans voted for him. I think America has just got a good president, but time will tell.
