I sent in my comment a couple weeks ago and got a form letter from my congressman stating that he's in favor of protecting the rights of women. Of course, then I moved. I think I have to send another letter now. But yeah, I don't know anyone who thinks this proposal is a good idea. Whose lame idea WAS this?

Doctors are doctors - they are not supposed to have a choice once they take their oath - hmmm, have to check and see it there still is an oath... That would be bad too

I sent a letter. I can't understand the pro-life/anti-contraceptive agenda. Pro-life or Pro-Choice the focus should always be, first and foremost, reducing the number of "unwanted" pregnancies by the most effective means possible. At current the most effective way for a sexually active couple to avoid pregnancy is by using contraceptives consistently. To cast out the abstinence blanket and just pray people lay down on it is irresponsible and ignorant.

It's interesting that you should talk about "blocking care for women". While a serving as a Senator in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted FOUR TIMES against a bill comparable to the Federal "Born Alive Infant Protection Act", denying babies that survived botched abortions lifesaving medical treatment (they were often taken to a hospital utility closet where other "waste" was placed, and left their to die). NARAL didn't even oppose the bill.
Many of those babies were little girls.
It's only appropriate that Barack H. Obama be given the nickname "Barry the barbarian".
